Strike up a conversation with any bodybuilder and they’re more likely to spend time telling you about the process of building their physique, rather than their final outcome on stage. The reason for this is that show day is only one of hundreds or thousands. The majority of the time competitors work in silence when there’s no crowd cheering for them - and this is arguably what makes standing on stage so rewarding.
It’s great to admire someone’s physique, but what’s truly admirable is the time, effort, and passion they put into creating it.
